APPRECIATION IN LONDON LONDON, Aug. 5. The honorary reporter of the Sea Anglers’ Society thus describes in the Fishing Gazette, a display of films to the society by Mr. W. White-Wick-ham ‘‘Mr. White-Wickham showed a series of magnificent films illustrating his fishing from Deep Water Cove, New Zealand. The audience feasted their eyes on battles with mako sharks, hammerheads, threshers, black and striped marlin, swordfish, and other large fish. They saw tho masses of schooling fish, breaking the surface with 1000 points of light, and the hordes of gulls whirling above, and last, hut not least, they enjoyed at second hand the glorious coast scenery of New Zealand. “Tiie evening was most enjoyable, and a hearty vote of thanks to Mr. WhiteWiekham was carried with great enthusiasm. ”
