A severe thunderstorm was experienced at Te Teko on Monday. lJeateniDg peals ‘of thiindef, accompanied by lightning, caused considerable confusion among stock. Telephones were cut off and electric power lines fused in several houses. Mr! ByrOn Brown has intimated to the Mayor of Otaki that he is willing to donate to Otaki half-an-acre of property in the heart of the town in the hope that at an early date municipal offices and a library will be erected. The section is a valuable one.
