PT. FREMANTLE LEAVES FOR SYDNEY (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Port Fremantle was towed into Cook Strait by the tug Toia to-day and; left for Sydney on the port engine, the Toia remaining with her in the strait. The Port Fremantle expects to reach Sydney on Wednesday. The m.v. Pukeko arrived at 10 a.m. to-day from Auckland. Lyttelton. August 31: Arrived, Rangatira, 6.45 a.m., from Wellington; Kupiti. 6 a.m., from Wanganui; Waipalii, 7.15 a.m., Titoki. 8 a.m., Holmdale, 9 a.m., and Totara, noon from Timaru. Dunedin. —August 31: Arrived, Calm, 6.25 a.m., and Waikouaiti, 11.30 a.m.. ! front Bluff; Paua, 8 a.m., from Wellington.
