INTERNATIONAL RUGBY
, (To the Editor of the Herald.) Hii*,—With reference to the interview your pressman had with Dr. A. D. Clinch, the account of which appeared in last night’s issue, the latter spoke of his son, J. D. Clinch, and 'George Hamlet sharing the record of 30 Irish International Rugby caps. I would like to point out that Dr. O. V. Stephenson, formerly of Queen’s University, Belfast, was capped for Ireland on 42 occasions, this also constituting a record for tho British Isles. I might add that several members of the 1924 All Blacks considered Stephenson the finest back they played against during their tour.— Yours, etc., J.S.B.
