INTEREST OF EXPORTERS FROZEN MEAT SHIPMENTS* ' Of ;: A ' -- 1 Shippers at refrigerated cargo from. New Zealand are speculating freely regarding the terms of the new freight agreements completed in London between shipping companies mid lepresentntives of the Meat Producers' Board and the Dairy Produce Board. It is surmised that a redaction in rates has been gained and this is influencing to some extent tho policy of frozen meat shippers. Thor# ir a fairly general belief that the agreements will be for a shorter term than the three-year contracts expiring bn August 31. • There are seven vessels whose loading operations may.possibly be affeeted in the event of a decision to withhold , meat cargoes to benefit by the new jrj;!i r ; % : ■■’' ■ ■ At the present time exporters of meat are tending tft delay notification ‘ of acceptance of space in vessels loading toward the end of August. Vessels tliHt have recently cleared finally for . threat Britain have carried full cargoes of frozen meat. Holders of dairy produce are not so directly concerned in the freight question, .
