VISIT FROM WELLINGTON P.B. TEAM ANNOUNCED ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETE The most important business for discussion at the weekly meeting of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union last evening was the completion of arrangements for the match between a first-class team of Wellington colts and the Poverty Bay representatives at the Oval on Saturday afternoon next.. Mr. G. H. Soeats was in the chair and there were also present Messrs. E. T. Brosnahan, H. L. McNeil. P. Tureia, P. E. Edmondson, A. H. Lange, O. S. Burt, H.. Hunter, J. Young, G. J. Jeune, hon. treasurer, and W. £. . McKee, hon. secretary. As a curtain-raiser to the main fixture it was decided, on the motion of Mr. Hunter, after some discussion, to play Marist thirds against Old Boys’ thirds for the deciding match of the competition.

At the suggestion of Mr. Brosnahan it was agreed to keep the third grade representatives in view for the curtain-raiser match on September 16, when Wairoa would play a return match here. The finance committee’s recommendations that the following prices for admission to the Oval be charged was adopted Admission to ground, gentle-, men Is 6d, ladies Is; admission to ground and grandstand, gjentlemen 2s 6d : plus 4d tax, ladies 2s plus 3d tax; temporary grandstand, Is including tax; cars, Is.

It was decided not to make any arrangements for an official reception to the team, as it was not yet known if it could be conveniently fitted in. The senior selectors, Messrs. P. €. Edmondson and 0. R. Olsen, tabled the following Poverty Bay team, which was approved:— Pocock Webster Haisman Murland ' Hale Kaua Morrison Carrington Moorhead Rogers Dennis Ancell (captain) .
