LOWER BUTTER PRICES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The wholesale price of butter in Wellington will ho reduced to-morrow a pound.

TOATOA DAIRY COMPANY The annual" meeting of the loatoa Dairy Company, Limited, was lwdd at Toatoa last weak, the chairman of directors, Mr, J, H, Reid, presiding over a good attendance of shareholders. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, the chairman congratulated the shareholders on a record output, showing an increase of 11.72 per cent, over last season. The net payout for the season was lOd per lb butter fat and a dividend of 5 per cent, was declared on paid-up capital. The chairman stated it was quite impossible to forecast the Home market for next season’s cheese, but as long as both the suppliers and the staff turned out the best quality product, the fame of Toatoa would not deteriorate. Ihe Wrightson Cup for the best graded milkover the season resulted in a tie between Messrs. J. H. Reid and T. B. Stott, who generously returned the cup to the company fra- annual competition. Mr. T. B. Stott, the retiring director, was returned unopposed. At a subsequent meeting of directors, Mr. J. H. Reid was unanimously reelected chairman for his twenty-second consecutive year of office in that position.
