BRANDISHED A REVOLVER
MAN FINED £5 (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Jack Ronald Bird, 23, who had been brandishing a revolver and threatening life, appeared before the Police' Court to-day, and was fined £5, in defaulttwo months’ gaol. The weapon was forfeited. He was employed on a farm under the Government subsidy scheme, and the police, with whom he had had previous acquaintance, went out to investigate. The police said he was quite a dangerous man to have a firearm.
