The after-deck cabin of the old Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross, which has 'been in 'the hands of the sliipbreakers for some months, was lifted out of the vessel at Auckland on Monday. The cabin, which is of quarterinch steel, will be used by its new owner as a seaside cottage.
