GAMING CASINOS
FRENCH CONCESSIONS
PARIS, Aug. 1
The French Government has authorised the playing in French spas and health resorts of roulette and trente et quarante, hitherto confined to Monte Carlo.
Applications have been received from Deauville, Le Touquot, Biarritz and Cannes and requests from other resorts are expected immediately. Competent roulette croupiers are rare, and candidates arc being trained. Proprietors of casinos must give the State guarantees of their financial soundness and pay a percentage of their profits to the Government.
