WELLINGTON, this day. The Public Service Commissioner, Mr. ■P. ' Verschaffelt, and the Secretary of External Affairs, Mr.’C. A. Berendsen, returned to Wellington yesterday on the Maui Pomare from Western Samoa and Niue Island, where they have been ihriking a’departmental inspection of the Public. Service. . ; ' ■ Mr. Verschaffelt said ho had no public statement to make, but intimated that he would be submitting a report to the Government.
