FACTORY DESTROYED
1 ■ I I DAIRY COMPANY'S LOSS (Per Press Association.) STRATFORD, this day. The Waingongoro dairy factory was destroyed by fire yesterday morning When noticed the. flames had a firm hold, and it was impossible to save the building, which was built of corrugated iron with a wooden framework. The cause of the lire is not known, as the factory boiler had not been fired since the factory closed at the end of last season. The building was entered twice recently, when cheese w'as stolen, and one theory advanced is that this might have occurred again on Monday night, and the fire started because of the carelessness of the marauders. The building was 16 years old, and was insured for £2OO, and the plant for £3OO. The Cardiff factory will take the cream until permanent arrangements are made.
