GERMAN “BLUNDER”
THE PROTEST TO BRITAIN M. HERRIOT’S COMMENT (Eloc. Tot. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received April 20, noon.) PARIS, April 19. In an article in La Depeche do Toulouse, M. llcn-iot, who is voyaging to Washington, describes the German protest to Britain against the House of Commons debato as a. new blunder added to su many others. “Besides,” lie adds, “one cannot defy Israel with impunity.” Pra.sing members of the House of Commons for their condemnation ol‘ the revision of treaties in view of the present state of Germany, M. llerriot declared:
“Britain has awakened. The four-Powor pact, has been thrown overboard. We can breathe again. Vigorous British democracy now understands what is hidden under the sophism of treaty levision. it. is a remarkable volte face, facilitating our work at Washington.”
