INDUCTION SERVICE

METHODIST MINISTER

REV. H. DANIELS WELCOMED

Tho Rev. H. Daniels, of Dunedin, who has sue.ceded tho Rev. W. ,1. Elliott as the minister in charge of the Gisborne Methodist circuit, was inducted at a special service held in tho Bright Street Church last night.

Tho inducting minister was the Rev. E. T. Olds, Napier, who gave a most eloquent address in his charge to the c.iugregiation and to tho Rev. 11. Daniels. Tins was preceded by the presentation of tho new minister to Mr. Olds, who ext, aided tho hand of fellowship. Mr. Daniels was then presented to the two principal officers of tho church, Messrs. F. 11. Forgo and G. S. Vincent. The congregation joined in the service,„ standing while tho charge was given, the members pledging themselves to support the new minister

Tho gathering afterwards adjourned to the schoolroom, where a social evening was held to allow Mr. and Mrs. Daniels and their daughter to meet members of tho c.iugregiation. Mr. Vincent was in the chair, find speeches of welcome were made. A pleasant musical programme was provided, and afterwards supper was handed round..

Those contributing to the programme were Mrs. Coleman, bliss Wheeler, the Rev. Mr. Olds and Mr W. Bignell. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. H. P, Poole.
