The first producers’ school to be held in New’ Zealand was opened last week in the Little Theatre at Canterbury College by Professor J. Shelley. The school, which had been organised by the Now Zealand branch of the British Drama League, lasted for several days, and intensive work was carried out for the purposo of helping dramatic groups throughout the Dominion to make their productions more effective. About 30 students attended the opening.
