Wlkmi Mr. A. S. Parker iinnonnced at the animal meeting of the Poverty Day Rugby Union that lie was not prepared to carry on in the post of chairman of the union executive, much regret was expressed by followers of the game, who valued keenly the services given during the past live or six years by Mr. Parker. At the urgent request of the meeting, Mr. I’arker agreed to carry on temporarily tho duties of chairman, and in the 'meantime hi 1 has been ashed to reconsider his decision to relinquish the post. lli‘ has not. yet; reached a decision on the point, but has intimated that lie will give an early reply to the representations made to him.
