ITALY BANS HANDSHAKE
TO BE REPLACED BY ROMAN SALUTE ROME, Feb. 13. All good Italians must give up hand-shaking and use the Fascist salute, which is made by raising the right, hand to the level of tho .forehead. The order explains that the Fascist salute is tho old Roman one, the salute of the legions who made Rome great and gave her glorious traditions.
“Hand-shaking,” it concludes, “is unhygienic, and a. superannuated sign of democratic fraternisation.”
