A meeting of the -committee of the Patutahi Girl Guide Company was held last week. Present: Mesdarnes E. R. Benner, president, Andrews, captain, If. Speight, Habgood, and Miss It. Atkins, treasurer. Apologies were received from Mesdarnes it. Bade and McDermott. Accounts amounting to !9s were passed for payment. Mrs Speight was accorded a hearty welcome to the committee. Miss K. Walker's resignation from the position of Tawny Owl was accepted with regret. After some discussion the committee was unable to elect a successor at present, and Miss Walker offered to carry on until the position was filled. It -was decided to hold a social and dance in the Patutahi Hall in aid of the company funds on Friday, when a number of prominent Gisborne artists had offered to assist.
