The members of the Parnell cricket team left Gisborne early this morning on. their return to Auckland. Last evening ail enjoyable dinner was given in the Gisborne Hotel to celebrate, the conclusion of an interesting match, and many references were made to (lie outstanding! performances by members of both teams, Poverty Bay being congratulated on their superiority in the first innings.
