Alan Anderson Thomas, 40, contractor, of .Bracknell, who hud beo/i convicted at Wnrrnambool of offences against his two daughters, was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, and ordered to be privately whipped for 15 strokes of the cat-o ’-nine-tails.
A boy who sot out from Moonn Plains to look for cows is believed to have perished from cold. He was thinly clad, and searchers of the windswept plains, though closely wrapped, have suffered from tlie cold. A constable who is in charge of the search has been out night and day for five days.
