PAKIHA LAND EXPERIMENT At a meeting of tho Oawthron Trust Boat'd at Nelson, Mr. J. Corder, chairman of the Waimea County Courted, referred to an inspection ho had made of 80 acres of pakihi land at Onelcaka, recently reclaimed by Mr. F. G. Gibbs in co-operation with the Oawthron Institute. Mr. Corder stated that he had been astounded to find that such unpromising land had boon brought into excellent condition for dairying in so short a time. Mr. K. J. Holyoako, M.P., a now member of the board, said he, too lmd visited Mr. Gibbs’ pakihi farm and had found it almost impossible to believe that what now appeared to bo good farm land had until a year ago been in tho useless condition of tho surrounding property,
