£46,500,000 DEFICIT
FRENCH BUDGET PASSED (Received April 15, 3 p.m.) PARIS, April 14. Sitting till 5 o’clock yesterday morning, the Chamber of Deputies passed the Budget with a deficit of £46,500,000, compared with an earlier deficit of £163,000,000. Provision is made for a lottery whereby it is hoped that ex-servicemen will benefit to the extent of £4,000,000, as a solace for their reduced pensions.
