A painful accident occurred at the Manutuke sports this afternoon, when Mr. G., H. Cameron, of Waercnga-a-hika received a severe injury to his arm. He was competing in a horse event, and ho was unable to stay the progress of his horse, which ran into the belt of trees at the eastern end of the ground. A sharp end of a branch caught his arm, and tore the flesh severely. He was given first aid by members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade before the arrival of a doctor, who ordered his removal to the Cook Hospital.
