AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The Auckland provincial golf championship commenced on the Middlemore course to-day with 86 players. McChrystal (Titirangii) went out in 34 and took 76 for tho round. This was the best round of tho morning. CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIP (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. In the Canterbury golf championship, at the end of the morning’s play in the first round, J. Millard, 74, led J. Galloway, 75. At tho short ninth, 152 yards, Millard holed in one.
