COUPLE FOUND DEAD
PALMERSTON TRAGEDY MURDER AND SUICIDE (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., last night. Circumstances pointed to murder when Helen Motley, 2d, of Palmerston North, was found in the rear of her parents’ premises, Itangitikei street, with her throat cut at about a quarter to eight this evening, with Arthur Holey, lit), who also had his throat cut. It appears that Soley, who had been keeping company with the young lady for the past id months, visited the shop premises for the first time after a disagreement between the two last Sunday, and at the rear the incident took place. The father, Mr. W. O. Motley, attracted by a knocking, found the pair injured, although they were then not dead.
The daughter died shortly after this, and the man died on his way to hospital.
