ARRIVALS Wednesday, April 12 Otain, m.v., 6.50 p.m., 10,048 tons, G F. Mead, from Auckland. Thursday, April 13 Waimea, s.s., 6.55 a.m., 504 tons, A F. Inman, from Auckland.

The Waimea arrived from Auckland this morning and is to sail early tins afternoon for Napier. The Poolta, which is at present loading at southern ports for Napier and GteboViiOi is to l&ive Lyttelton to-day for Wellington, her last port of loading. Sho is dim here about Wednesday next and on completion of discharge and loading is to sail for Dunedin, via Wellington to begin loading again for Napier and Gisborne. The Kalingo, from Newcastle and Sydney, is now: at Wellington discharging and is expected here on Monday to unload icoal and general cargo. On Wednesday she is set down to sail for Picton. Westport and Grovmouth, thence Melbourne and Adelaide. The Kini is expected to load at Westport on Saturday and at Grey-mouth on Tuesday for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. *Tho vessel will discharge her coal here between April 26 and April 27. The Aorangi, from Sydney, Auckland and Suva, is to leave Honolulu tomorrow for Vancouver, arriving there on April 21. The Niagara, from Vancouver and Honolulu, is to leave Suva for Auckland. She is due. at the New Zealand port on Monday and will sail the following day for Sydney, where she is expedited on April 22. The Makura is to leave Sydney to-day, for Wellington. She is expected at that port on Monday and is set down to sail on Wednesday for Rarotonga, Papeete and San Francisco, arriving at the lastmentioned port on May 6. The Maungariui left San Francisco, yesterday for Papeete, Rarotonga and Wellington. She .is due at Wellington on May 1 and will sail the next day for Sydney. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s vessel Rangitata is expected at Tokomaru Bay from Auckland about April 25 to loan frozen meat, wool and general cargo for London.

The New Zealand Shipping Company’s .steamer Hororata is to load here about May 1, taking frozen meat, wool and general cargo for London. The Federal Steam Navigation Company’s motor vessel Otaio arrived from Auckland last evening and is now loading frozen meat, wool and general cargo for London and West Coast ports of tho United Kingdom. She Is expected to complete here on Saturday and sail for Napier. The Union Steam Ship Company are the agents. The Pukeko is expected here in the morning from Wellington and Napier and will discharge on Saturday. She will then load for Tolaga Bay and Auckland and at the northern port will go into dock next week for painting. In her place the Pakura is to load on Tuesday and Wednesday for the Coast, Gisborne and Napier. The Awahou has been delayed with misty weather on the Coast and is not expected here until this afternoon from Auckland, Hicks Bay and Tokomaru Bay. To-night she is to sail for Wat kokdpu, Napier and Wellington, loading at the last-mentioned port on Tuesday and Wednesday for Napier and Gisborne. The Margaret W is at present on the slip at Auckland undergoing annual survey and ovevhaul. The Tiroa had been delayed by unfavorable weather oh the coast and is not expected to arrive here from Auelclatid tt'htil this afternoon. She will sail on Saturday for Auckland, via Tokomaru Bay. Blue skies wefc reported this morning at Auckland and Nilpier, but overcast and unsettled conditions were reported elsewhere in the North .Island, with light rain in the Bay ox Plenty. Moderate to strofig northerly breezes were general. The barometer had continued to fall steadily. Temperatures at !) o’clock were: Auckland 72 degrees, Tuurangu, Opotike, and Gisborne 64, East Cape and Napier 66, and Wellington 63. Rough seas were reported at Cape Campbell, East Capo and Opotiki; elsewhere moderate or smooth. (Last Night’s Forecast) A deep cyclone is now centred northeast of Cape Maria, moving south-east-wards. A series of rather deep depressions is 'crossing tho Tasman. Winds: South-easterlies north of Kawhia and Napier, reaching galo force in places ; elsewhere liorth-Cast to north-west, strong south of Hokitika and Akaroa, otherwise moderate. Seas : Rough north of Napier and south of Groymouth; elsewhere moderate to strong south-easterly winds in the northern portion; strong north-Westerlies in the southern; • seas moderate to rough. Weather: Rain developing north of Kawlda and Napier, with some heavy falls, especially between Hawke’s Bay and the East Cape. Showers also on the west coast ot the South Island and tho far south; fair elsewhere. Temperature moderate. (Midday Forecast) General inference.—A cyclone of tropical origin is still centred north-eastward of Cape Maria Van Diemen, hut is beginning to fill up. A series of westerly depressions extends across south Tasman flea and southern New Zealand. Forecast.-—Moderate to strong southeast to north-west winds prevailing.
