LADY ALICE FERGUSSON
PROGRESS TOWARDS RECOVERY (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. A letter dated February received by the Governor-General this week from Mr. James Fergusson, the eldest son of Sir Charles Fergusson, contains the news that Lady Alice Fergusson, who met with a motor accident in December last, is making satisfactory progress towards recovery, and at the time of writing was able to leave her room. In view, however, of the serious nature of the accident, her medical advisors do not expect Lady Alice to be completely restored to health for some months.
Sir Charles, who at the time of the accident was in the West Indies, acting as chairman of a Royal Commission, was expected to return to England in March on the completion of the commission’s investigations.
