A sub-amendment to the motion to approve the Budged of the Finance Minister, Mr. E. N. Rhodes, moved by Progressive members in the House bt Commons to-night, proposed the nationalisation of insurance, the legislative control of interest and profit from investment, a national construction programme to relieve unemployment, controlled currency inflation, and the creation of a national credit bank.
