MAY BE OIL WELLS MANCHESTER, Feb. 20. Converting whole seams of coal into oil beneath tho earth was visualised as a future means of obtaining fuel in Great Britain hv Mr. W. IT. Moorfiold, in his nresidontial address to the Manchester Coal Exchange here. t Hot hydrogen pumped down into a pit under high pressure would convert the coal into oil, which could then be brought to tho surface, he claimed.
