General sympathy lor Don Bradman in his failure in Australia's first innings in the second test match is expressed in the press. , , J. C. White, writing in the Morning Post, says—“ How could Bradman do himself justice after the worry and fuss with the Board of Control. They ought to have settled their differences long ago. As he again failed, we may not see him in the remaining tests.’’ The Daily Mail under the heading. “O, Bradman !” says.—“ Though England ga.ined a very marked and real preponderence it will be the general hope in the interests of tile game that the remainder of the match will he less onesided. lively one would like to see Bradman’s luck change for the better, lie is a player we all admire. The News. Chronicle says.—“ Sportsmen throughout the. world sympathise with Bradman. There were days when tJie great ‘W G.’ failed All that needs to lie said is that his fatal stroke, rather a wild one, was probably due to the state of bis nerves for which the miserable dispute with the Board of ‘Control is no doubt accountable.”
