PETERSON BEATS SCHONRATH (Received Jan. 3, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 2. The British heavyweight champion, Jack Petersen, defeated the German, Hans Sehonrath, who retired in the eight round, at Cardiff in a fierce twohanded fight. Petersen dominated most of the rounds. Sehonrath fought gamely, frequently penetrating the champion’s defences, but tired under the terrific 'pace. The heavy punishment also affected hie eye, which was cut in the second round.
