GOLFER IN “SHORTS”
PROPRIETY QUESTIONED GAN BERRA. Nov. 28. .Since an assoeiato of the Gan bo mi Golf Club appeared on the links .in silk “shorts'* last’ week, the suitability and propriety of this form of apparel has been warmly discussed in local golfing circles. Most of the associates have unhesitatingly condemned the now fashion, and their attitude is supported by tiiaay club members. The associate responsible for all the trouble, however, seems unimpressed, and despite criticism appeared in tho same clothing in a match on Thursday.
An associates’ meeting .is to ho held to-morrow night, when opponents of; tho new stylo will bo given an opportunity of publicly' expressing their disapproval. Action of some sort is probable, ami the decision of the meeting is being awaited with general interest.
