TRANSFERS AND PROMOTIONS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Commissioner of Police announces the following promotions and transfers: Detective Hall, of Wellington, to be detective sergeant. Constable Henry, of Snutoun, to lie sergeant, and transferred to Christchurch. Sergeant Turner, of Waimate, to be senior sergeant, and transferred to New Plymouth, replacing Senior-Sergeant McCroric, who has retired on superannuation. Constable Ferguson, of Kimbolton, Constable Bissot, of Waiuku, and Constable Jones, of Cambridge, are promoted to sergeants and transferred to Auckland.
