TUBERCULOSIS
REV. E. WARD’S CLAIMS Well pleased with the success of bis mission, tho Rev. Edgar Ward has returned to Auckland from California. Some months ago, as the result of inquiry by American doctors, ho went to tho United States to spread knowledge he lias gained in his study of tuberculosis and asthma. While in New Zealand, Mr. Ward claimed he had found a cure for both diseases, and ho said this week that medical opinion in America so favored his prescription that a clinic had been set up in Los Angeles, with others to follow in San Francisco, Denver and Sacramento. “For 18 months before I made this trip,” said Mr. Ward, “I was in touch with tho American doctors. I hey experimented and experimented with my cure before they satisfied themselves that it was worth while taking it up—but they gave it a fair trial. Finally they decided in favor of it. and clinics are now an established fact. As I said, thov have boon set up with unlimited capital behind them, and it is hoped to establish them throughout America.”
