HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS HANDICAPS FOR TO-MORROW A meeting of the Poverty Bay Professional Athletic and ‘Cycling Club was .held on Monday: evening and was presided over by Mr E. 'Sharpies'. ►Satisfactory reports were received from flie club 'captain of the running, cycling and field events, and he stated that in preparation for the Christmas and New Year, meetings, competitors were putting in good -training, and already showing excellent form. - • The,deputation which waited on.the Te Knrak'a .Sports Club in connection with the New Year’s. Day meeting reported that the To Kafaka club was putting on a wholly cash meeting and would bo submitting a full programme of events. A deputation, also waited oil the Ormond 'Sports Club and secured the inclusion of cash events in. the 'programme.' J -'

It was reported’ that Mrs Bert; Lowe was donating a cup to the lady runner gaining most points during the season, to commence at the Christinas t meetings.' _ A vote -of thanks: was passed by the club to Mrs Lowe for her offer.

Good nominations were received in all events for the sports meeting to bo held to-morrow evening at the Victoria Domain. Handicaps are as follow:— .:
