OXFORD BEATS CAMBRIDGE AUCKLANDER’S TWO TRIES (Received Dec. 7, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 6. In tho presence of a record crowd of 45,000, Oxford defeated Cambridge in the annual Rugby match by B—3. Dominion players were prominent in the game. Cambridge early in the game were superior, but a splendid try fay the speedy Auckland winger, Minns, enabled Oxford to draw level, and at half-time the score was 3 —3. Thereafter, Oxford dominated the scrummages and played better all round. Lamport, the captain, of Sydney, worked the scrums cleverly and started a movement enabling Mmns to score another try, which Jenkins bri - liantly converted. The South African test cricketer, Owen-Smitb, Oxfords full back, was skilful throughout. Last year Oxford and Cambridge drew, tho former scoring a penalty goal, and Cambridge a try.
