PIE SAVES WOMAN’S MONEY BOSTON. Oat. 26.
The whipped cream pie used according to the rules of slapstick comedy yesterday saved money for Mrs. Mabel Bowman, wife of a. Booth Boston storekeeper. Three husky men entered the store. One. of them swinging a bottle of home brew about, his head while he reached for tliri cash 'register. Mrs. Bowman reached 'to ' the show case, selected a* large whipped cream pic, am! slapped it in the face of the bottle wielder. The attack took the trio by surprise, and the cream, ~n inch deep on the top of the pie. splattered over the men. TV group then dashed into the street. Late/ a. .policeman arrested two men whose clothing Was spattered with cream.
