The Mata'ura Presbytery has nominated. Mr. W. H. Adams. Dunedin, as moderator of the General Assembly for 1933. The congregation of St. John's Presbyterian Church, Hawora, has decided on a call to the Rev. A. G. Irvine, Ashburton. Guests at the Masonic Hotel this week include Mr. and Airs. Hall, Mr. and Mrs. and Miss Speechley (Palmerston North); Captain Plummer, and Messrs. J: Harris and T. Pamu (Auckland), J. Mnrgrath (Wellington). H. B. Gilriionr (Wanganui), arid .F. W. Ansin (Napier). Lieut. John Hewitt, 8.N., son of Air. J. G. 1... Hewitt, S.M., and Mrs. Hewitt, of Alarton. has been promoted to Lieut,t’otnrnander, and will commence his staff • course at Greenwich Naval College next year.
