FARM STRIKE PLAN
CANADIAN MOVEMENT AUSTRALIAN SOPPPORT (Eire. Tel. Copyright—United Press Wsn.) (Received December 7,2 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Dec. 6. A message from Rumsey, Alberta, states that lacking the support of any organised body in their homo provinces, farmers of Rumsey who last month called for western Canadals growers to refuse seed wheat, next spring, have received the following cable message: “The Wheat Growers Union of West Australia is not delivering this harvest. Hold-up general.” When informed the message, Mr John MeXaughton, leader of the Rumsey movement, declared : “We congratulate the fanners of Western Australia. If the Australians cannot afford to market wheat at twice the price we are getting it is positive proof that we should stop producing until our monetary and social systems are adjusted So that we will get at least the cost- of production. We are glad to know' that the producers of other countries are going to make an effort also to adjust present conditions.” The Alberta Wheat Pool at the annual meeting has already debated wheat holding and the proposed strike without taking action, and a. resolution on a farm strike still awaits decision by the United Farmers of Alberta.
