Steps to be taken by the • Gisborne Borough . Council in regard to the: Aber-deen-and Roebuck roads intersection, at which: a recent fatality occurred, were outlined at the council meeting last night in the following report from the works committee:—“A letter was received from the Minister of Justice: giving a rider added by the coroner at the inquest, on the late Mr. Albrecht, and it was resolved to forward a copy to the owner of the property to ask him to have tho hedge lowered another 6in. at the corner promised to the Mayor, and that the hedge he kept trimmed; also jr sign “Dangerous Corner” be erected a.t the site, likewise a similar sign at the intersection of Harris street and Ratene mad.—Cr. H. JI. DeCosta moved that three silent polidemen be installed at the intersection, but there was no seconder to the motion, and the report was adopted.
