PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS (Elec, Tel. Copyriplit—United Press Assn.) (Received Dec.- 6, 3 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 5. A bill to modify the Volstead Act to permit the sale oi naturally fermented wines was introduced in the House o.t Representatives to-day by Mr. Clarence Lea, a Democrat, ol California, Mr. John O’Connor, a Democrat, ol New York, introduced a bill to legalise the sale of beer containing 3.2 per cent, alcohol by weight.
