Mr. Richard Maris Clark, who was connected witfr the South British Insur- , a nee Company since its inception in 1872, died in Auckland on Friday, aged 8.3. He came to New Zealand in the sailing ship Hibernia at the age of 14 to join Ills brothers. In the year it commenced operations, Mr. Clark joined the South British Insurance Company, and was appointed manager jn Dunedin in 1889, subsequently (holding the position of secretary at the Lead office from 1906 to 1911, when he retired on pensiqn. • , .
