SERIES OF THEFTS
£IOOO FROM 17 HOUSES (Por Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Tho theft of goods valued at over £IOOO from 17 houses in and about the city was admitted to-day hv Wallace Mansell Jones, an unemployed carpenter, who was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
The police said the man had concentrated on better-class homes over a period of a year. One-third of tho goods had been recovered.
