MATAWHERO STOCK SALE SMALL STORE SHEEP YARDING Owing to there being only a small yarding of store sheep at the Matuwhero stock sale to-day. business was concluded before lunch time. Low values were maintained in the beef section, with mutton values easier. Store sheep prices were, also at a low range. DEE F An entry of 21 beef cattle, was offered. Very low values were obtained. Prime heavy Hereford cows made £2, good fair weight bullocks 62 15s. lightweight steers Cl 17s 6d, heifers 22s 6d. and Jersey steers 25s to £ 1 12s 6d. Prices: One heavy loan cow with vealer calf, £2; 1 solid Jersey cow. 15s; 1 fair finished red cow. 20s; 2 Herefords, heifer and cow, 27s 6d; I neat red heifer, £2s Cd ; 2 heifers, Jersey cross, 225. 6d ; 1 brindlo Hereford heifer, 20s; 2 good P.A.-Hereford cross bullocks, £2 15s; 2 well finished Hereford cows, prime, £2; 2 lightweight steers, well finished. £1 17s 6d; 2 Jersey steers, £1 12s 6:1: 3 do., 255. PAT SHEEP The entry of fat sheep was 710, including a line yarding of first quality ewes. Prices wove easier than at the previous sale. Choice ewes made 4s 3d to 4s 11 and maiden 4-tooth Gs lid, lambs Gs to 8s 2d, second grade ewes 2s 7d to 2s Bd, and second grade lambs Gs lid. Prices: —

STORE SHEEP Only about 500 store sheep were yarded and the whole sale was finished by lunch time. Good 2 and 4-tooth wethers, in hard store condition, made 7s 4(1 and similar conditioned 2-tootlis Gs 10(1; while hard condition and small 2-tooths sold from 4s lid to 5s Gd. Dry owes brought 3s 10J for genuine fat and forward, 2s 4d for fairly forward and Is 7(1 for light conditioned, while owes with lambs reached 5s and Gs 5(1. Prices: —

Wethers. —55 2 and 4-tooth, good sheep, with no (Surplus condition, 7s 4d; 107 2-tooth, same as last, Gs lOd; 18! 2-tooth, low condition, 5s Gd; 24 2-tooth, low condition, ss; 16.2-tooth, moderate condition, 4s lid.

Ewes and lambs. —21 good conditioned woolly ewes, with 24 medium lambs, ss; 1(> good woolly ewes, with 10 medium lambs, 6s sd. Ewes.- —62, mostly fat, others forward. 3s 10d; 42, light condition, Is 7d; 1!), good frames, fairly forward, 2s 4d.
