HUGE LOSS INVOLVED
OLD-TYPE RAZOR BLADES MILLIONS DESTROYED (Per tress Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Millions of razor blades of a wellknown make, hold in bond in New Zealand, have been destroyed at the Clyde Quay destructor'in the presence of officers of the Customs Department and the New Zealand agent for tho blades. Similar action has been carried out in many other parts of the world because of the advent of a new pattern blade, it- being considered the honorable thing to clear all markets of existing stocks. At Montreal, Canada, and Slough, England, machinery costing hundreds of thousands of pounds for making this particular form of two-edge blade has been dismantled, broken up, and sunk at sea.
