TRADE MISSION TO EAST
SYDNEY, Nov. 25. Arrangements are being made by the Associated Chambers of Manufactures in Australia for the dispatch of what Ims been described as “Australia’s show boat.” to the East in April next year. The object, of the mission is to display Australian primary and secondary exhibits. and to develop Australian trade with the East . Efforts are also being made for the exhibits to he transferred to a British vessel at Singapore and to proceed to Hongkong and Shanghai. The voyage to Singapore and back will occupy two months, and will cost exhibitors their return fare. £lO5. No •(Inn op will he made for the space on br.unl. or the construction of the bays for the exhibits. If the trip is continued to Hongkong and Shanghai the cost to exhibitors will be increased. Liberal offers for transport have been made, b« the Dutch Steam Packet Company. The selection of a vessel will bo decided in 'Melbourne.
Besides Australian ports, the itinerary includes Macassar, Sourabaya, Samanmg, Choribon, Batavia, Singapore, Penang, and Belawan Deli.
