GIRL’S INJURIES
ATTACK IN THE NIGHT ' ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE (For Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Lliis day. In the Magistrate’s Court, Thomas Poison was charged with attempting to murder Ruth Eleanor Corlet, 19, on November .14, and also with attempting to commit suicide von the same date. He was remanded till December 9. The police stated that the girl was still seriously ill; in hospital. Miss Corlet sustained a broken left arm and scalp wounds, when, it is alleged, she
was attacked by Poison with a hammer in her room at a boardinghouse. Poison later was admitted to hospital with awound in the throat.
