A striking spectacle was witnessed on the Auckland harbor on Saturday afternoon when 44 boats started in a general handicap race held by the Richmond Cruising Club. The record entry of 50 boats was received for the race, and of that number 44 took part in the contest. A fresh breeze from the west was blowing, and all the vessels carried full sail.
