There was a goodly gathering of parishioners and friends, amongst whom wore the vicar, the Uev. t’. G. lo Salt, and Canon A. F. Hall, of Gisborne. A pleasant time was spent playing croquet, the weather being ideal. Afternoon tea was served beneath the trees which shade Life lawns. V remarkably line weeping lime and a black oak over half a century old were greatly admired.
