SPEEDWAY MISHAP
WORLD CHAMPION INJURED (I’or Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. The world’s champion broads-ider. Krlc Langton, 25, of England, received slight concussion when the front tyre of his machine burst during an exhibition ride at the opening of the Western Springs- Speedway last evening. Langton was admitted to Auckland/ Hospital, but his condition to-day is not serious. The .crash occurred prior to the commencement of the racing, when four -Englishmen, Langton, “ Tiget' ’’ Stevenson, Erie Gregory arid W. Phillips, were engaged in an exhibition ride. Langton and his machine turned over ' several times, the rider being injured when his machine struck him.
